Gaslight (1944)

thanks to TCM, a great channel that airs movies uncut and commercial free, i was able to watch this classic film

"a demonstration of the dark side of the Force"

A newly married woman, Ingrid Bergman, is made to believe she is losing her mind, due to the psychological abuse inflicted on her, by her new husband, Charles Boyer.

Rewatch-ah-bill-ah-tee
This movie is worth re-watching for a few reasons, the cast, the story, and the overall look of the film (which won an Oscar for Best Art Direction-Interior Decoration, Black-and-White) -*even tho i don't take much stock in awards, it is still worth noting*

The Cast
Ingrid Bergman
Even though she is billed second, Ingrid is definitely the star.
Her performance won her an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role, as well as a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture

Ingrid Bergman is in a ton of great movies, Hitchcock's Notorious, Murder on the Orient Express, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Joan of Arc, and of course Casablanca

Charles Boyer, is the definition of Jedi in this movie, it may be the dark side of the Force, but he is still a Jedi.

Joseph Cotton
who is in So many good movies, Citizen Kane, Portrait of Jennie, and The Third Man, just to name a few.

Angela Lansbury
In her first movie role, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
However, I will always remember her as Jessica Fletcher on Murder, She Wrote

Dame May Whitty
whose murder loving character, reminds me of another Joseph Cotton movie, Shadow of a Doubt
