Snowbeast (1977)

Because of the snow storm that hit today, I wanted to watch something with snow in it, so I went with Snowbeast (1977)

"Don't ski alone, while wearing orange"

A made for TV Horror film, where a 'Snowbeast' has the potential to ruin the winter carnival. The Snowbeast is either BigFoot, or a Yeti.

Note-While watching this, I did not know that it had been shot for TV, but I got the feeling it was meant for TV, due to the Blood Red Fade Outs that occurred pretty regularly.

Re-Watch-ah-Bill-ah-tee
ummm......uhhh......let me think,.........(*thinking*).......see, i like bad movies, but I'm not sure this fits into that category, its sort of in between bad and boring, so I'm not sure if you should even watch this, so I will not recommend it, but I will give you a few things i did enjoy

1. Robert Logan's bad Acting and forced delivery

2. Clint Walker's Sideburns, even if you don't get enough of them

3. The Victims: it seems only people wearing orange get killed, but not everyone wearing orange

4. A few of the shots were pretty good, and the Blood Red Fade-outs are humorous

5. And One shot of blood on the snow, looked amazing! (i watched 30 Days of Night afterwards, just to see more, i love the snow in the scene where Josh Hartnett kills his first vampire)

THE CAST
Left to Right Robert Logan, Bo Svenson, and Yvette Mimieux
Yvette Mimieux
who i did not recognize, at all, was Weena in The Time Machine (1960)

and did not look too bad in her snowsuit, e-speh-a-lee from behind........what?
She was a sex symbol, in the 1960's.

Robert Logan
If your a fan of bad acting and forced delivery, you will love this guy.

Bo Svenson
the voice of reason in the movie. You know how in a scary movie, someone will say that going out in the woods alone is a bad idea, but people go anyway, well he's like that, except people listen to him. BORING!!

Sylvia Sidney
was one of the few people, that I knew I had seen before, but I could not place where......one of the places was in Mars Attacks! Also in Beetlejuice. But she has had quite a TV and Film career.
and here is a younger Sylvia Sidney.

Clint Walker
was the other person I recognized, mainly from Dirty Dozen. He has great sideburns in this.

Things 2 Note
Despite being in a freak accident at Mammoth Mountain, CA, in 1973 when the tip of a ski pole pierced his heart, Clint Walker still made this movie where ski poles were abundant.

The teleplay was written by Joseph Stefano, who also wrote the script for Hitckcock's Psycho

Sylvia Sidney's name came to be a slang term for condoms, because of some of the early movie roles she had, in which she became pregnant
